Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026

1. Privacy Commitment

At ToolsTree, we believe privacy is a fundamental right. Our architecture is designed from the ground up to respect your data sovereignty while providing powerful developer tools. Unlike many online tools, we guarantee your JSON, text, hashes, and configuration payloads never leave your browser.

2. 100% Client-Side Processing

All operations, formatting, validations, and conversions execute entirely in your local browser window. We use HTML5 features, Web Workers, and WebAssembly in the browser for high-performance computations with zero data transmission to our servers. Processing is ephemeral and memory-only.

3. Information Collection & Cookies

Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymized, aggregated telemetry (such as tool usage frequency, browser type for compatibility audits, and country-level geographic region) to monitor platform health and improve utilities. All analytics are anonymized and cannot be tied to individual users.

Cookie Usage: We do not use third-party tracking, advertising, or profiling cookies. We only store functional settings locally (e.g., your preference for Dark Mode or tab formatting spacing) within your browser's localStorage or sessionStorage.

4. Security Measures

To keep the platform safe, we enforce strict Content Security Policy (CSP) headers, complete HTTPS encryption for site delivery, and follow best-practice security headers to block cross-site scripting (XSS) or clickjacking.

5. Regulatory Compliance & Your Rights

Our local-processing model is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Under these frameworks, you maintain the following rights:

  • Right to access any collected anonymous usage statistics.
  • Right to request deletion of cached browser preferences.
  • Right to block cookies via your standard browser configurations.

Manage Your Local Data

ToolsTree stores your theme preferences and recently visited tools history directly in your browser. You can clear this data at any time.

6. Contact Information

For any privacy inquiries, data protection suggestions, or questions regarding our local execution sandbox, you can reach our Data Protection Officer at:privacy@toolstree.com.
